We started building before confidential computing had a name.

2018. Malta. A bet that the cloud would eventually need to prove it can’t see your data — not just promise it won’t. Eight years later, Gartner named it a Top 10 technology. We’re still building.

Why this exists

When we started, the entire confidential computing market was worth less than $2 billion. The big cloud providers hadn’t shipped TEE instances yet. The Confidential Computing Consortium didn’t exist. Most people in crypto were building DeFi protocols and NFT marketplaces.

We built anyway. Because the thesis was simple: the cloud processes the world’s most sensitive data, and the people who own that data have zero technical guarantee that their provider isn’t reading it. Not because providers are malicious — but because the architecture allows it. We’re building the architecture that doesn’t.

Ten principles. Zero exceptions.

These aren’t aspirations pinned to a breakroom wall. Each one is enforced by the architecture — hardware guarantees, not corporate policy.

1
Your code, your rules.

Every computation runs inside hardware-sealed enclaves no one can inspect — not the node operator, not the ecosystem, not us. You hold the keys. The infrastructure holds nothing.

2
Verify, don’t trust.

Every task produces a Proof of eXecution — a cryptographic receipt on-chain that anyone can check. Trust is a vulnerability. Verification is infrastructure.

3
The community is the network.

5,000+ independently operated nodes. A solo operator in Lagos competes on equal terms with a data center in Frankfurt. Owned by no one, priced transparently.

4
Builders first.

One question decides what ships: can a developer go from npm install to a running confidential workload in under 10 minutes? Developer experience is the product.

5
Borders don’t apply to math.

Encryption has no jurisdiction. No authority can compel access to plaintext that doesn’t exist outside the enclave.

6
Earn your place.

Node operators stake real capital against their reliability. Perform well, earn more. Perform badly, lose stake. Code doesn’t make exceptions.

7
Ship, then talk.

Mainnet. SDK. 5,000+ nodes across two production chains. We measure ourselves by what’s running in production — not what’s planned for next year.

8
Open by default.

The SDK is public, the contracts auditable, the protocol documented. Closed systems protect the vendor. Open systems protect the user.

9
Make complexity disappear.

Attestation chains, enclave management, encrypted I/O — the developer should never think about any of it. Complexity that reaches the user is a design failure.

10
Outlast the cycle.

We started in 2018, before the market had a name for this. Markets cycle. Tokens cycle. We build for the decade, not the quarter.

The market caught up.

We don’t use these numbers to sell. We use them to explain why we started building years before the market caught up.
